We just don’t know it but some celebrities are having a hard time juggling their careers and personal lives. Married celebrities, in particular, are those who always put high importance on their priorities, especially with their family.
Diana Zubiri, one of the famous actresses shared her experience on how she handles her family and her job in showbiz. She probably experienced what most couples’ no doubt went through as they started their family.
She was discovered by Seiko Films and was given sexy roles to start with. However, it all changed when she posed as a bikini model and said the product was advertised above EDSA-Shaw flyover. She was a head turner that she gained the interest of the talent scouts. Now we all remember her as the fierce and beautiful Danaya from the hit series, Engkantadia.
Now, the 33-year-old actress is blessed to have two kids. She was happily married to her second husband, Andy Smith and loves Diana’s son with late husband, Alex Lopez.
Andy has turned a new baby and now juggles being a father to two kids. What most people admired about them is the fact that despite challenges, the couple decided not to hire a nanny to help with the kids. According to Diana her husband’s struggle as a first-time dad was not easy.
When Diana was pregnant with Baby Aliyah Rose, her husband promised her, that he would take care of everything. Diana said:
She added, “In fairness, for the last six months, ganun naman.”
Diana also revealed that her husband has no experience with kids.
“Every thing, kumbaga, blank, zero, wala siyang idea kung papaano”
“Una muna is pagkarga, so nung nanganak ako, sabi ko, ‘Halika dito, wag ka matakot, kargahin mo. Natatakot siya, sobrang liit ‘tapos sobrang lambot, alam mo yun, baka daw mapilayan niya or whatever.”
As a couple, they share the burdens and schedule of taking care of their kids.
“Ang usapan namin since nagkaroon ako ng trabaho, siya talaga yung pinaka-hands-on pag wala ako. Pero pag nandun ako, ayun, hati kami,” Diana said.
However, like most first-time dads, Andy also experienced exhaustion and exasperation. Diana shared:
“I have to wake up early so natulog ako nang maaga, ‘tapos naririnig ko sila nag-aaway.
“Inaano niya, ‘Matulog ka na, I’m so tired, di ko na kaya, ano ba gagawin ko?” Diana would hear her husband taking to the baby, “‘Ano posisyon gusto mo? Ano gusto mo? Dedede ka ba?’ Bumangon na ako kasi parang naawa naman ako, mga two a.m. na, yun, hindi pa rin natutulog. So parang ang ginawa ko, binuhat ko na lang. Siguro naglalambing yung baby, nakatulog agad sa akin.”
Needless to say, Diana is quite lucky to her husband Andy! Hat’s off to Andy for being a good father to the kids and husband to Diana.
